Steps to Apply For the ACE Awards

Use this comprehensive document as a guide when completing your ACE entry. 

1. Review the requirements
2. Select a category
3. Submit your synopsis for review (optional)

*If you would like an ACCE staff member to review your synopsis, send it to ACCE at aceawards@acce.org by January 6, 2012.  This is an optional deadline, and does not affect your entry’s score or eligibility.

4. Review the judging process to ensure you know how you will be scored.
5. Complete one entry form  for each entry
6. Write the synopsis 

Be sure to address each of the following within your submissions:

a. Summary: 75-100 words, succinctly state the need for the communication project, the communication and marketing vehicle(s) chosen, the objectives, and results.

b. The Synopsis:  The entry’s synopsis is broken into two parts.  Be sure to address each of the elements below and clearly label them within your synopsis

*Identification (30 points)
*Evaluation/Measurement (30 points)

*You will also be evaluated on the physical communication piece (40 points) 

7. The following materials must be submitted in a 3-ring binder

a. Entry Form
b. Summary, Synopsis, Program Budget 
c. (1) Copy of your communication piece
d. Suppporting Documents

8. Mail your entry binder and payment to ACCE (Be sure to include the entry fee in a sealed envelope)

a. Early Bird: must be postmarked by Friday, Feb. 17, 2012 ($225 per entry-Member/$325 per entry Non-member) 
b. Final Submission Deadline: Friday, Feb. 24, 2012 ($275 per entry-Member/$375 per entry Non-member) 

9. Email your materials to ACCE

a. Early Bird: must be emailed by midnight EST Friday, Feb. 17, 2012.
b. Final Submission Deadline: must be emailed by midnight EST Friday, Feb. 24, 2012.
c. Entries become the property of ACCE and may be displayed in ACCE’s publications and web sites.
