Field Trips

The Next Generation of Green Buildings
On this trip, attendees will participate in a behind-the-scenes facilities tour of Phipps Conservatory & Botanical Gardens.

Robotics: Today and Tomorrow
On this trip, attendees will learn more about and tour the National Robotics Engineering Center, part of Carnegie Mellon University’s Robotics Institute, the world’s largest robotics research and development organization.

Using Transportation Assets to Drive Economic Development
On this trip, attendees will travel the corridor surrounding Pittsburgh International Airport to see and hear about how companies leverage the airport and infrastructure for success

Brownfield Transformations
On this trip, attendees will experience The Waterfront, an open-air shopping mall spanning three municipalities housed on the site of a former steel mill.  In addition, attendees will drive through one of southwestern Pennsylvania’s newest urban communities, Summerset at Frick Park. (*Note: portions of the tour will require walking)

Party at the historic home of the Steelers at Heinz field on Thursday night. This event is included in full convention and guest program registration.  Tickets can be purchased for additional guests at $60 each.
