ACCE - American Chamber of commerce executives

ACCE's Almost-Free Trip to China

The deadline for the March 2012 trip has passed, but we will run a similar trip in October.  Watch your email for registration infromation!

On March 12-20, 2012, ACCE will offer its first China trip that includes a visit to the famous Terracotta Warriors in Xi’an.  These ancient fighters, dating from the third century B.C., have astonished and delighted the world since their discovery in 1974.

And this trip, like other ACCE excursions sponsored by Citslinc, is almost free.  Any ACCE-member chamber CEO, or a designated full-time senior staff person, is eligible to go, provided your chamber hasn’t done the Xi’an trip before.  If an employee of your chamber has already gone on the regular four-city ACCE-Citslinc almost-free tour of China, you may go on the Xi’an trip provided that your chamber has  taken at least one group to China with Citslinc.

You may also feel free to forward this to another chamber executive who you think might be interested. (ACCE nonmembers are fine for this-- once they join!)

If YOU would like to go, we would love to have you. This visit is for chamber executives who want to take an eight-day tour of China to see what this trip is like so that, perhaps, they will take their own chamber group to China. Such visits have become major non-dues revenue producers for hundreds of chambers.

Thanks to Citslinc sponsorship, the price to you is only $250 (a deposit of $500, of which $250 is returned to you after the trip). You will also need to obtain a visa to China, which will be $155 for U.S. travelers.

This will be the seventh ACCE trip to China with Citslinc.  Many ACCE staff members can tell you about these exciting trips – or you may have heard about them from your peers in other chambers.  Why don’t you join us?

The trip will include visits to Beijing, Xi’an and Shanghai. You will see many of the top tourist attractions in China, including the Great Wall, the Forbidden City, and the Terracotta Warriors. You will stay in
excellent accommodations and enjoy good food (mostly Chinese, of course). And you will get to hear from some U.S. executives and Chinese authorities about doing business with China.

You are able to bring guests at an affordable rate – leaving from New York’s Kennedy airport (JFK) for $2499 or the Los Angeles airport (LAX) for $2399.

You will need to get to LAX or JFK Airport, but after that, your airfare and everything else (save a $25 tip), including hotels, meals, transportation, and guides/interpreters, is completely covered by Citslinc. Not a bad deal for $250!

A few requirements for attendance are:

  • You must be an ACCE member.  If you are not currently a member, you can join now and then register for the trip!
  • You and/or your chamber have not done the Xi'an Tour with Citslinc before. (If an employee of your chamber has already gone on the regular four-city ACCE-Citslinc almost-free tour of China, you may go on the Xi’an trip provided that your chamber has  taken at least one group to China with Citslinc.)
  • You have some interest in the idea of offering a China trip to your members. The trip does not obligate you to take your chamber members to China, but it's important that you be willing to consider the possibility.
  • While most on these visits are CEOs, you do not have to be.  Full-time, senior staff chamber employees are welcome, provided that the chamber CEO indicates in writing that you are being sent on this trip to explore the possibility of a China tour for your chamber.
