Guidelines & Standards

Standards for chamber professionals are outlined in the Body of Knowledge and in ACCE Awards Programs.  Below are guidelines for a variety of chamber functions, including attaining CCE certification, applying for awards programs, and completing Certificates of Origin.

Certified Chamber Executive (CCE)

The Certified Chamber Executive (CCE) program is designed to assess the applicant's knowledge of the four core chamber management areas - management, planning and development, membership and communications, and operations.

Body of Knowledge

ACCE developed the Body of Knowledge for the chamber profession. It establishes benchmarks for the chamber profession and serves as the foundation for ACCE's educational programs. The document outlines general job competencies and is updated, as necessary, to reflect current chamber profession practices.

Chamber Accreditation

US Chamber accreditation offers a certification standard and guidelines for a chamber of commerce whereas ACCE offers a certification standards and guidelines for an individual chamber of commerce professional.
