ACCE Announces Call for Life Member Award Nominations
Alexandria, VA -
The nominating period for recommending individuals for induction into ACCE Life Membership, the chamber profession’s highest personal honor, is now open. Nominations must be submitted by May 2, 2008. This year’s award will be presented during ACCE’s Annual Convention in Pittsburgh, PA, from July 30 – August 2, 2008.
Nomination for the Life Member Award is open to chamber professionals who have retired at least two years prior to the year of nomination for the Life Member Award. Individuals still serving in the profession, or those active in companies providing services to the profession, are not eligible for nomination.
Nominees must exemplify four principal characteristics. Please complete the 2008 Life Member Nomination Form
and submit it along with a one (1) page (total) synopsis of how the nominee demonstrated each of these characteristics during his or her career.
- Demonstrable overall excellence throughout their chamber careers.
- Measurable success in building their communities and organizations.
- Significant contributions to the profession: participation and leadership within ACCE, the U.S. Chamber, state chambers or executive associations, or similar organizations.
- Mentorship of their staff and others seeking growth in the profession.
