Letter on Nation's Financial Crisis
Greenville-Pitt County Chamber of Commerce hosted a bipartisan round table discussion on the topic of America's financial crisis. They were surprised at how much consensus there was on the subject.  The result was a letter to the Joint Select Committee on Deficit Reduction (the Super Committee).  Each person at the Roundtable personally signed each letter to the Super Committee members.  They are following up with letters to Members of the House and Senate from their state, asking them to hold the Super Committee accountable and to encourage them and provide leadership to find compromise and solutions, putting aside party politics.

Proposal for City of Glenwood Springs

This is a proposal, submitted by the Glenwood Springs Chamber Resort Association to the city's Tourism Promotion Board, to be the Destination Marketing and Visitor Information Center Vendor for the City of Glenwood Springs. The GSCRA was successful in their bid.  Many prominent resort communities have found that the best way to provide destination marketing and visitor services is through a well-established organization that offers a trusted “chamber of commerce” brand. This is notable because of the Chamber relationship with the business community and community at large. Chambers of commerce have been known world-wide for centuries as visitor information centers. When this long standing reputation is combined with a unified marketing message, the destination brand extends into the Visitor Center itself, and there is a powerful, cohesive message that ensures trust and authenticity for the visitor.
